As a speaker, request feedback to ensure good communication.
As a listener, provide feedback that is:

•     Specific
•     Appropriate

• Tone-vocal sound quality
• includes inflections or stresses on words
• style or manner of expression conveys meaning
• Volume
• Speed
• Clarity

• Choose words that accurately convey meaning
• Provide specific and sufficient information
• Take turns
• Show attention with eye contact
