  • Greet everyone with a smile and "good morning"
  • "please" and "thank you" are simple and effective
  • dress neatly and appropriately
  • shake hands firmly
  • ask callers before putting them on speaker phone
  • use obscene language
  • tell any jokes that may offend someone
  • discuss politics, religion, or gossip about others
  • use e-mail for any message you would mind being public
